12.Wren

There is a pair of wrens building a nest in a bird box in our back yard. Wrens are tiny birds that live in North America. Both the male and the female are brown in coloring. They build nests out of twigs and line them with bark, string, and a few feathers. They lay small brown speckled eggs out of which hatch the tiny featherless young. After a few weeks the babies are old enough to leave the nest and fend for themselves. I love having the wrens in the yard because it is so much fun to watch the babies grow up, learning as you go.
