The twins and I were in one of the cherry trees in our backyard when two robins started screeching and dive-bombing our dog, Buddy. He had one of their babies in his mouth! It was a fledgling, with an orangish chest that had small brown spots on it. We got out of the tree right away and made Buddy drop the bird. Then we put him inside and examined the small robin. It was limping, and one of its wings was missing many feathers. When I picked it up, it spread out its wing as if it was in pain. We placed it in the front yard so Buddy could not get it. Then we went inside. Hopefully its parents will feed it and take care of it until it can fend for itself.
